Percussion feature + percussion somehow adding a beat = whole band off step.

Thank god everyone decided to fix it at the same time. Our 4 count mark time became a 5 count one. I'd hate to be percission after that...

We host a band competition today, and I'm guiding Avon. With Bob and Mallory. It was with Rick, Kate, and Mallory, but then Rick and Kate decided not to guide so many bands, and quit that one. I didn't want to guide with just Mallory, because I'd probably get hurt, so I convinced Bob to guide with us. After all, Mallory's his girlfriend...

Heh. Maybe two people who read my blog know who all those people are. My plan to confuse you all and take over the world is beginning!

We (as in, pep band) played at a football game last night. Our team lost. Is that a bad trend or what?

At one point, we severely rushed the fight song, which we play after a touchdown. This completely threw off the cheerleaders. I thought it was funny; my teacher did not. Oh well.

MY SCANNER WORKS! So, the layout may occur sooner than later. Or it may not. Depends on how long it wants to cooperate. Cross your fingers folks.

Oh yeah, we lost last night, too.

But we got a 1 at the competition today!

No awards, 'cause we hosted...

The percussion feature was fine, I think it was our best show so far. It's cool having the stands full of people watching you, not just there 'cause it's halftime. And we're a pretty well-known band, too. Best of the schools in our sports conference, we've been to state for the past 21 years. Or was it 21 before last year? I'll have to check. We've gotten 1s at state for the past 13(?) years. So, because of our semi-famousness, the spectators cheered after a lot of our stuff that causes moderate clapping from band parents at football games. And because we hosted, we went last, and everybody who preformed that day, and a lot of people who came to watch them, plus old band members, plus some people who came because we hosted, and they knew we'd be performing watched us. That's a lot of people.

We did great. We're definitely going to be listening to tapes Monday. Which means no marching, which, despite how fun it is, wil be a welcome break.
