I'm better!
Not completely, but one-and-a-half-hours of new Escaflowne, plus an Academic Challenge party at which Monty Python and the Holy Grail is watched help a lot.
Academic Challenge parties are alyways fun. The whole goal of them, it seems, is to get everyone laughing. It was really funny hearing Kelly hiccup, because it's quite an original (and funny sounding) hiccup.
One of the benefits of new Escaflowne is that I can tell myself "I may be in bad shape, but I'm not Dilandau or (at the moment in the story) Van. And I'm much more stable."
Heh. At the football game, during fourth quarter, my band's percussion and the other band's percussion had some kind of percussion-off. It started with the cadences. We did better just by the fact that our cadence is longer and less repetitive, but I think we also played better. Then they did random little things (We so beat them at the quad thing.), and then we did our percussion feature, and it was all over. The non-percussionites there (about 3/4 of our non-percussion band; none of their non-percussion people came over... Who has the more supportive, family-like band?) were singing the pit part (bells, anything xylophone-looking), and the field percussion were doing all their visuals. And then there was the drum-to-drum. I don't think that the other band knew that was possible. There was more after that, but it was obvious who won.
It was fun.
But I was freezing my hands off. Nothing else of me was cold, but I couldn't feel my hands. Which is why I don't care that we lost, I was just glad that we got out of overtime, which up until the last minute or so, it looked like we were going into.
Plus, I hate football, so I don't really care that anyone won...
