Hot DAMN that was awesome. I do hope that Bilis hasn't gone for good; he's quite the villain. Granted, he'd have to start working for himself and not Abbaddon (who, let's face it, kinda didn't have much of a motivation), but revenge is always a good reson to become your own boss.
Gwen reacting to Rhys dying was really well played, but came off a bit too close to how she reacted to Jack dying. The only reason she wasn't "THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BRING HIM BACK" about Jack seemed that she knew he's already done so of his own power.
My thoughts are all out of order here, and although I do like that Jack met the man he stole his name from, and it was nice of him to give him the man-love he'd been suppressing all his life just before he died, I don't in the least buy the reactions of the other dance hall-goers, especially because of how the responded to Tosh. There needn't have been outirhg thostility, but if some of the staring had been glaring, and some confused looks, and some just blank faces altogether, with one or two kind-hearted folks giving the kind of response THE ENTIRE CROWD was giving the two, I wouldn't have been as drawn out of it. But. Minor quibble about a lovely idea, though I also think that Jack being blindsided by Teh Gay was a bit odd, given that he'd have to be well versed in the code of the times to have wound up with Algy during the London Blitz...
Nice to have someone call the Torchwood crew on all their amoral shit, too, though it did kind of heighten the whole "Tosh isn't really in the same boat thing." I mean, opening the rift, cheating on Rhys, and hiding Lisa don't really scan the same as "used a telepathic device," especially since Tosh only used it because nobody at work made the effort to be even nominally close to her.
Also: shut up Jack, you brought people back from the dead for two minutes, too. And completely overlooked Suzie.
But, not nearly as much of a twat as Owen, though that finally got a point in that there's no way his behaviour this episode would be justified from a character standpoint unless he'd been the twat he'd been all season.
Oh, and yey, TARDIS steaking Jack!
ETA: I forgot this during the original post, but meant to add it: I love how it's obvious, though never stated, that Jack kept his name even after the con ended because it's the name The Doctor has for him.
