That was a bit of a letdown. Kind of turned into From Out of the Rain with slightly more plot.
In retrospect, I should have realized that part one really wasn't headed anywhere, but OMG CLOWNS.
And then part two didn't rely so much on clowns, because surely by this point the plot was creating tension, only... there wasn't one. Being that feeds on fear is old hat/ Tying this'un in with the Pied Piper was a good start, but it turned too one-note. Yes, dtealing children causes mass panic, and yes, Sarah Jane is very attached to Luke, but in it's dying last grasp at power, a being that feeds on fear should start branching out into more than just OMG CLOWNS and child snatching, primal fears though those be.
In short: Pennywise did it better, and I've never even seen/read all of IT.
But still better'n Torchwood most days, even improved as its second season was.
