PHIL. JUST GOT PULLED OVER BY A COP.
See, I was talking to Meghan (one of the cool Anime newbs) about how you never want to take a long car ride with Phil driving. Now, Phil pulls up to a stop sign, and a op pulls on to the road we're on. Phil goes "Oh, if that hadn't been a cop I would have..." and then, because it's behind us, I guess, speeds out of the stop sign to turn right, tires all squealing.
And then, as we turn onto High street RIGHT ACROSS FROM OGDEN, BTW. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T THINK TO CALL ANYONE IN THERE WHILE IT WAS GOING ON I AM STUPID, Meghan and I notice the flashing lights. "Phil!" we say, "Phil, he's following you!"
"What?"
"The cop is following you, PULL OVER."
"What?"
"PULL OVER."
Phil pulls over, but just slows down a lot.
"PHIL STOP."
He stops, the cop comes up and stands by the car.
"PHIL, ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW JESUS."
"Do you know why I pulled you over?"
"'Cause I sped too fast out of that top sign..."
Cop asks for license, then registration, goes fine.
"Are you drinking?"
"No, I don't drink."
"Good for you."
"You guys been drinking?"
"No." "No."
"What're you doing?"
A pause, because Phil doesn't answer.
"He's taking us ho-"
"Oh! Yeah, I'm driving these guys back."
"How are you guys?"
"I'm laughing at him a little on the inside."
"Okay, well, you guys haven't been drinking, so I haven't got anything, I'm just going to go make a few notes."
"Okay."
Phil freaks out. And doesn't like being stared out, but as we point out to Phil, this is what HAPPENS when you get pulled over.
After the cop gives back his license and we pull away, Phil goes "I just want to swear."
"Well, you just go 'fuck' really loud, I mean..."
"Ffffffffuuu..."
And then Meghan and I glee, for Phil apparently cannot curse emphatically in public.
I'm pretty sure that's more embarrassing than getting pulled over.
Except for the part where the reason he sped around the corner, as we found out after his failed cursing? To slam me against he door for saying stuff about his driving. Except he was turning right. And the door was on my right, so I went left.
