Definitely a good follow-through. Helen Raynor, you're forgiven(-ish) for the Daleks last year.
Yeah, Martha was still a bit under-used, but the last scene more than made up for it. It's really the only way to get her off-Earth after her ending last year. I do wish I'd seen her Torchwood stint first, but they're careful to write the homeshow so that the kids needn't watch the "adult" spinoff to get what's going on so I was good on that end. Stupid FUCKING SLOW Torchwood season...
Donna continues to rock, and her mother is shaping up. She'll never be Jackie Tyler, but she's much better than Martha's mum, despite her first episode involving her throwing her daughter's wedding reception while she was missing.
The pretty died, but at least he got to... be prominent, we'll say, when he did.
And damn it, there'd better be a reason that the Doctor's daughter in the preview comes off as every ficced self-insert Doctor's daugher that's come before surely has.
