Doctor Who 4x06 - The Doctor's Daughter

revieloutionneI love how the show let some of those anoraks out there think they might be getting a sex-free explanation for Susan (ignoring, as they would, the "I was a father, once" from Fear Her [ironically, one of the parts I make sure to remember]), but no. Doctor had already been a father, lost 'em in the Time War.
So, yeah. Jenny was rather something of a Sue, but when you've got mechanically implanted combat skills on one end and the Doctor on the other (and in your genes), I suppose it's difficult not to be.
I'm shaky on the end - if that's the end of her, fine. If they bring her back well, fine. If they bring her back with all the finesse of one of RTD's rushed scripts, I will scream.
I did like Donna's transient work history once again coming into play. Her sheer ordinariness is what makes her so special, and that fits so well into the genetics of this show I love it. And while I called the whole "Seven generations, FROM MACHINES" twist, before cottoning, I had thought maybe the MacGuffin was a weapon that had caused the surface devastation.
And we've been a bit heavy on the no guns, lately, haven't we Doctor? I realize it's always been your idiom, but still.
