Wasn't it awesome?! I'm not sure if you wathced Buffy or not, but I have to admit, I was wondering if Dr. Horrible would live up to "Once More, With Feeling". I don't think the songs in DH are as catchy as the ones in OM,WF but to me, the story and characters were amazing. I wish there had been more than just three acts!! :(
I did watch Buffy, but I was only completionist about he first three seasons. I've seen most of OMWF, but not all at once, or in order, and with little of its S6 context, so.
What's your favorite song? I like Brand New Day (because of the fast parts) and On the Rise (because of the parallel lyrics). Dr. Horrible just makes my creative writer side purr with contentment :3
I wasn't really comparing the songs the one time I watched. The first missive from Bad Horse might have won for crackiness if not for the completely out-of-line line about "he'll make you his mare."
But the cute! And the fun! And the way better than it has any right to be, given what it is! And Neil Patrick Harris!
And I'm prolly a bad person for saying this, but that line didn't bother me >_> Though, of all the lines, it was prolly the worst. My favorite song line has to be in Episode 3, when Captain Hammer's singing about getting "to sleep with the same girl twice / I hear you get to do the weird stuff" and the chorus trio sings, "We'd do the weird stuff!" Just the look on his face...so amazing.
