Heroes 3x01 - The Second Coming

revieloutionneUnlike most of my notes on TV, Heroes is not going to be getting spoiler-cut, because I'm actually watching it after it's first US airing, and I define spoilers by where I live because it's convenient. I won't be warning on future posts.
Also, I'm actually taking a break between the episodes to post my thoughts on the first episode while I've only seen the one, because it's more authentic to the serial nature of he show (especially with the fifteen minutes of episode-ending cliffhangery scenes, jesus christ)
On Sylar and Claire: Holy crap did he cat-and-mouse her and boy was it awesome. Season Two Sylar was worth the (I'm assuming strike-induced) pointlessness, just for this one episode so far. I mean, he TKs and entire table to block a door from another room and Claire thinks running a chain round some handles won't keep him unhinging the doors entirely with his brain? And hen he didn't - not because he couldn't, but because it was more fun that way. He's finally starting to build a truly adversarial character, rather than just villainy! It's great! And "that's disgusting."? EPIC WIN.
Matt... no wonder you've always lacked initiative and forethought. When you use it, it gets you banished to the desert.
Peter, whatver happened to you to make you four-years-from-now-competent had better happen to you very soon, because now that I've seen you be pretty much everything you aren't? I like it. Future Claire can come too.

Good Nathan is so fucking scary. That's probably all I'll have to say about that for a while.
I'd read spoilers from advance showings. How the hell did I forget entirely about Linderman?
ANDO. ANDO, YOU NEED TO HAVE HADOUKEN'D HIRO SO LONG AGO. WHY DID YOU ONLY DO IT IN THE FUTURE?
If the fast girl is so fast that she can move normal-speed in Hiro's frozen-time, how is she making the sound of her voice travel at mach MACH, for it to reach Hiro as though it were also immune to the freeze?
MAYA! YOU HAVE A REASON FOR EXISTING! Next time you see Mohinder, tears-of-evil him just for being super stupid, ok? (Seriously. Mohinder didn't need to shoot up; his powers were idiocy and,of late, asshattery)
Am I forgetting anyone? Oh, right. What's-her-face, the nth personality of Niki, who only exists because the show doesn't have the balls to fire Ali Larter after her characters have run their course. I mean, she's gorgeous, and she'll validate he hell out of whatever you throw at her through her acting, but THERE IS NO REASON FOR HER TO BE THERE.
ONE MORE THING: If this is the second coming, WHO THE HELL IS JESUS, HERE? Failing any sufficient answer from the show, I'm going to go with Sylar.
