On West Egg

So yeah. I'm modding a round of Heroes Mafia. It's going to cracky awesome win. Technically there's still time to join in, but only a day, since I've already assigned characters and sent PMS. I have a bunch of characters I had to cut when signups were a bit lower than I'd hoped, though. (LOL I SHOULD HAVE ADVERTISED ON MY FLIST SOONER)

Wow. Um, I hope I never have to see a Mafia game end like that again.

Yes, this is late news. I got distracted posting it by recording a Heroes podcast. Oh well.

So, Heroes mafia:

Setup: Beanster is modding, and has to write the story posts to begin and end day and night. Daybreak includes a clue to one of the villains' identity. Bean is taking FOREVER to write the next daybreak story.

Fox: FINISH THE STORY BEFORE I FALL ASLEEP
Fox: I CAN'T BE SELFISHLY IMPATIENT IF I'M ASLEEP
Beanster: *groan*
Beanster: what was the clue you were going to use?
Fox: WTF
Fox: I DON'T KNOW WHO THE CLUE IS SUPPOSED TO POINT TO
Beanster: but you were like
Beanster: you'd write it if you got to choose the clue!
Beanster: oh wait
Beanster: al;jgoweijfo;awiejfwafe
Fox: BAHAHAHAHAHA
Beanster: did I mention I'm leaving early Saturday morning for NYC?

Joined the next round of Heroes Mafia @TWoP.

We voted no lynch for day 1 in under an hour, are now stuck in night until our mod is done with her school day at the earliest.

Last time I had a word document to take notes in.

This time I have:
-Word document for notes on individual players
-Word document for notes on events in general for chronology & because some notes (like keeping track of voting as a whole) don't tie to individual players well
-Word document to copy the story posts into separately (nice to have it to go back to, but makes for too much scrolling in events)
-Excel spreadsheet containing columns for Player, Character, Affiliation, Power, and Alive/Dead, along with separate set for Unplaced Characters, and their possible/probable affiliations and powers.

Why am I not this organized in RL?

So, I'm in Heroes-themed game of Mafia, and we dead players like to have our fun. Naturally, we refer to the police box Claude seems to hang around.

At this point, we've named a "Harkness" and The Master, and have referrred to a time vortex, as well as travel through time and space. However, we seem to have, as a group, tacitly agreed to never refer to the TARDIS as anything but "that police box" or "that phone booth."

Also, a thought experiment I put forth in the thread, as I am both Future Hiro and dead: If I'm in that police box, and I teleport to the same place, five minutes into the future, and in those five minutes, the police box travels through time and space, where and when do I wind up?
